On some vehicles a one-way check valve is located on the transmission return line. This valve must be removed and replaced with a reinforce rubber house.
In order to do this you must cut the existing rubber house where the check valve is located and then remove the check valve.
When installing a new rubber you must either double flare the metal line or double clamp both sides of the rubber house.
Once the transmission is installed in the vehicle it is extremely important to inspect all of the cooler line connections. This is to ensure that there are no leaks at the rubber house or the house clamps.
If this is a chrysler vehicle, the vehicles radiator must be replaced as well.
