The most effective method to flush transmission cooler lines is to use a professional or commercial transmission cooler line flusher.
If you have a transmission installed by a professional garage or transmission shop, this is the method they would use.
Prior to connecting the flush machine to the vehicles cooler lines, you will need to blow compressed air through the lines to remove any heavy containments.
To do this, take an air line with a blow gun attached, and blow air through one end of the cooler line.
Make sure to place a plastic container on the end of each cooler line to catch the heavy containments as they are blown out.
When the line appears to be clear, reverse the procedure.
Next, you will need to connect the flush machine. Plug the machine in, and let the heater reach an operating temperature of 120 degrees.
In order to connect the flush machine, hose adapters must be fastened to the vehicles lines.
When operating temperature is reached, connect one hose from the flusher to the return line and the other to the feed line.
Turn the machine on, and let it flush for approximately 20 minutes, while monitoring the flow meter. If the fluid is not flowing at the level 3 or higher then there is a severe blockage and the radiator must be replaced.
As long as the flow level is higher than a level 3, continue flushing for 20 minutes.
Shut off the flush machine, disconnect the lines, and blow compressed air through the lines to clear the lines of flush material.
The next step is to switch the flush machine lines on the cooler lines and repeat the procedure again.
When this flushing process is complete, you are ready to install your remanufactured transmission.
